Photos Scavenger Hunt

This is one project I really enjoy doing, I don't need much encouragement to get out there with my camera.
The list of word helps to look for things I might not have photographed.
Have a look over at Greenthumb and see what other people have snapped.

Thanks to Greenthumb of Made with Love for organising the hunt.

I have bought a glass ball to take photos through, not had much practice but

have learned it burns you had instantly in the sun like a magnifying glass

(......with the upper part where the lower part should be; in an inverted position.....)

We have had some wonderful sky's full of cloud's this month.

(...a visible mass of condensed watery vapour floating in the atmosphere, typically high above the general level of the ground......)

These are the metal ends of a old wooden bench we used to have.

(.....a separate seat for one person, typically with a back and four legs.....)

Well he's sweet some of the time !

(.....pleasing in general; delightful.....)

Bluebells growing in the church yard.

.....(of a living thing) undergo natural development by increasing in size and changing physically.....)

Sea glass collected from the beach.

(....a hard, brittle substance, typically transparent or translucent, made by fusing sand with soda and lime and cooling rapidly. It is used to make windows, drinking containers, and other articles....)

Crochet  blanket on bed still needed for these cold nights.

(...a room for sleeping in..)

Rain on the window, the sun was shining as well as hailstone !

(...the condensed moisture of the atmosphere falling visibly in separate drops....)

Blackbird egg shells I think, found at the park.

(.... oval or round object laid by a female bird, reptile, fish, or invertebrate, usually containing a developing embryo.

The eggs of birds are enclosed in a chalky shell, while those of reptiles are in a leathery membrane.....)

It's been fresh weather this week, well actually bl***y  cold. gloves and scarf back out.

(......(of the weather) cool, fresh, and invigorating...)

Old man's feet.

(....be run off one's feet be rushed off one's feet ....)

Clear nights and a lovely moon.

(....Of any number or kind; any...)

  2. Beautiful.......love your crochet blanket. I have one that is very similar.....my mother made it for me many years ago.
My Grandchildren love to snuggle in it, in front of the fire on a cold winters evening :)

The image that really appealed is that of the old chair back.....I love that.

Most of all I love your dog.....he is absolutely gorgeous. Doesn't want to come and live in the Kent countryside with Nella, does he ?? :)

  8. Your photos always astound me Amanda! You always capture the perfect angle in such beautiful detail and wonderful colours!
That dog foot is adorable- so squidgable! That rain shot is just the best, what a good idea to capture it on a window. I was hoping for a wet plant but we really haven't had any rain during the day unless I've been at school. What a shot of the moon!x

  14. What fun, Amanda! I loved how you included the definitions of the words! And such wonderful photos! I enjoyed how you posted them as polaroids. Each one resonated with me, especially the sea glass one. It reminded me of many lazy summer afternoons looking for sea glass. Happy hunting this month!
