The rain had stopped and the wind had died down, so of I went to feed the birds at
Golden Acer Park.
The bright yellow flowers of Yellow Skunk Cabbage (Lysichiton americanus)
were out in the boggy waters.
The gardens are stunning here during the summer.
I had come here to get a photo of a Nuthatch, Woodpecker and a Mandarin duck.
There are tree stumps all over the park to feed the birds, over the years they have got use to so many visitors they will come really close and as you can see from the top photos of the Great tits they are happy to feed out of your had.
Along with the birds there are plenty of Squirrels, as soon as you turn up the wild life literally comes out of the wood work.
At the far side of the lake there is Adel dam nature reserve
here you can get to see Great Spotted Woodpeckers feeding.
The Mandarin ducks had moved of when I went into the hide so did not manage a photo to day.
On the lake I found some odd looking ducks
The sunlight was hitting this birds feathers making it look almost black and white,
not sure what it is .
Moorhen and Mallard were sleeping on the rocks at the edge of the water.
Her feathers still look stunning in black and white.
Another yellow flower out was the Marsh Marigold (Caltha palustris)
Large puddles from all the rain we have had and plenty of Daffodils.
it's such a big place, you can spend all here.
Toilets and cafe makes it well worth a visit.
